Ryan Reynolds returned on Sunday with a video of his business partner and best friend Rob McElhenney’s 2nd birthday.
Reynolds dressed up as a character from the epic “Deadpool” series, without a mask. cameraexplained that April 14 was McElhenny’s birthday and also the day the Titanic sank in 1912.
To celebrate McElhenney’s birthday, Reynolds jokingly said that he funded an ocean expedition to retrieve several bottles of Wrexham Lager that were actually consumed on the Titanic. according to Mr Reynolds said he “couldn’t find” a “drinkable” lager named after the town where he and Mr McElhenney own a football team. But he found something else.
The video cuts to a sketch of a topless McElhenney wearing the 171-carat blue sapphire and diamond-encrusted necklace that Kate Winslet symbolizes in James Cameron’s classic film. The sketch is essentially a re-shot of a sketch scene from the movie in which Leonardo DiCaprio’s character depicts Winslet naked while still wearing a necklace.

Reynolds asked fans to wish McElhenny a happy birthday. He also implored people to stay away (and please don’t) go to the website where people can buy, share, and give away items personalized with the hilarious drawings. He also asked fans not to share the painting on social media. And don’t ever go to Wrexham’s Ty Pove Gallery, where the original paintings are on display (definitely go, it’s so important to support local art in Wales). Reynolds completely destroyed the world’s pronunciation of “pove,” and that’s okay. No one who is not Welsh can speak Welsh.
