New Orleans' Saints Week started off a relatively quiet start, but the franchise quickly began to fuss. Multiple reports on Tuesday said the franchise had made a big splash by landing Justin Reed.
According to ESPN, the star has reached an agreement between the defensive back and the saint on a three-year contract. Reid has spent the last three seasons with the Chiefs, but entered the free agent market after appearing not part of Kansas City's future plans. Reed won the Super Bowl in a three-year stint with the Chiefs.

Reed played college football at Stanford before the Houston Texans selected him in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He left Houston after the 2021 season and joined the Chiefs.

The Reed and Chiefs are lacking in their quest to win three consecutive Super Bowls. The Eagles ruled Super Bowl LIX chiefs last month. The 40-22 victory was the second mark in history when the Eagles won the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Shortly after the game, New Orleans nominated Kellen Moore as the franchise's next head coach. Moore spent the 2024 season as the Eagles offensive coordinator.
The New Orleans Reed buyout — 10 intercepts, six bags, three fumbles and three fumble recovery in his career — reportedly agreed to a free contract with the New York Giants the day after the former Saints began cornerback Paulson Adebo.

The saints also signed tight end Juwan Johnson to an extension of $30.75 million over three years that could grow to $34.5 million in incentives, Aj AJ Vaynerchuk said.
