This NFL season may witness a “genetically abnormal” talent on the field.

Brock Rechsteiner, the son of WWE legend Scott Steiner, has joined the New Orleans Saints after initially signing as an undrafted free agent with the Tennessee Titans back in April.

The Saints shared a photo of Rechsteiner donning his father’s wrestling gear while proudly holding the World Heavyweight Championship.

“Big gold always suits genetic freaks,” Steiner noted in a post on Tuesday. He described his son as “a genetically abnormal person,” reflecting on his unique attributes.

Brock, who played at Jacksonville State, recorded impressive stats with 53 catches for 629 yards and seven touchdowns between 2023 and 2025. In his last season, he had 36 receptions, 383 yards, and five touchdowns.

Interestingly, both Brock and his brother Brandon secured NIL deals with WWE last year. Brandon played basketball for the Colorado State Rams, averaging 12 points per game in the 2025-26 season before announcing he would transfer to Kansas State.

The Rechsteiner family’s connection to wrestling runs deep. Scott Steiner, along with his brother Rick, earned a reputation as tag team champions in the wrestling world. They were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022, and their family legacy continues through Bronson Rechsteiner, known in the WWE as Bron Breaker.

It’s uncertain whether the Rechsteiner brothers will pursue careers in professional wrestling themselves.
