A couple and their toddler were killed when an SUV crashed into the bus stop in San Francisco as they waited for a bus to take them to the zoo, according to reports.

Three people were also injured in the Saturday afternoon crash in San Francisco’s West Portal neighborhood, including the couple’s infant who survived but is hospitalized in critical condition, KGO reported.

“We don’t know if the driver had a medical emergency. This is all under investigation,” San Francisco Fire Department Chief Janine Nicholson told reporters at the scene.

Rogelio Faleiro, a local resident who knew the victims, told KGO that the victims were “taking care of children and had gone to the zoo to have a fun day at the park” when they were hit by the SUV. I was there,” he said.
