San Francisco is facing a surge in fake ads attacking Israel at bus stops around the city.
The poster is Generate a comment about X in the last weekwhich was disguised as an ad celebrating San Francisco Fleet Week, but was soon revealed to be anti-Israel propaganda.
One ad features an image of American soldier Aaron Bushnell engulfed in flames.
In February, a mentally ill airman self-immolated in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C., in protest of the war in Gaza.
A message “Honoring Aaron Bushnell'' was carved above the burning body.
The second poster featured an image of the USS Liberty.
The naval research vessel was mistaken for an Egyptian ship and attacked by Israel during the 1967 Six-Day War.
Although Israel apologized and the mistake did not affect U.S.-Israel relations, the incident became a lightning rod for anti-Israel conspiracy theorists.
The USS Liberty poster also features the National Code Memorial Monument's symbol, “They Served In Silence” logo.
Clear Channel Co., Ltd. operates bus stop advertisements in the city. Confirmed by SFGATE The exhibit was said to have been an “act of vandalism.”
The San Francisco Department of Transportation further told the outlet that they would be dropped off.
