The missing teenage boy of two tech founders was found in San Francisco on Saturday, along with a 26-year-old man.
Mint Butterfield, the child of billionaire Slack co-founder Stewart Butterfield and Flickr founder Katerina Fake, was found in the Tenderloin section of the San Francisco Standard around 11:30 p.m. report Sunday.
Police found the teen in a van with a man named Christopher “Kio” DiZepfalo, who is now charged with kidnapping her.
According to Breitbart News, Butterfield’s mother contacted authorities on April 22 to report her missing.

“Officials with the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said the girl lived with her mother and was enrolled in a private boarding school in Napa before she disappeared,” the paper said, adding that the girl attended Tenderloin School. He added that it appears he was doing so. An area notorious for open drug dealing and drug use.
Butterfield has a history of drug abuse and is said to have visited the area several times.

DiZefaro, described by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office as an “adult friend,” is suspected of coaxing Minto to leave the house six days ago.
DiZefaro is jailed in Marin County on multiple felonies, including child kidnapping, and misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, records show. His bail is set at $50,000.
Butterfield has since been reunited with his family, officials said.

In a statement, Butterfield’s family, including his stepfather and fellow technology founder Jiri Engeström, thanked those who helped find the boy, according to the Standard.
“I would like to sincerely thank all the family, friends, volunteers and strangers who reached out for help and made this recovery possible. Especially the predators who use the lure of drugs to groom teenagers. We would like to thank our experienced law enforcement officers who understand the real threats,” the statement said.
