San Francisco woman accused of threatening to kill children pleads not guilty

A San Francisco woman with a notorious record of allegedly threatening encounters with children and their parents in San Francisco parks pleaded not guilty at her first court appearance Monday, according to reports.

Kim Andrews, 37, has been charged in four separate criminal cases over the past four years for allegedly approaching and threatening children in public places such as playgrounds. The San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The latest incident in court Monday occurred July 19 at Golden Gate Park. Andrews allegedly approached a woman and her 18-month-old infant along a park path and yelled, “Oh, it's a baby!” You’re going to die,” he said, holding a lighter and a Lysol aerosol can.

Andrews was charged with child endangerment and criminal threats in connection with the incident.

After Andrews was charged in the July incident, District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said on Nov. 26, “My office is committed to ensuring the safety of the children of our city.” said in a statement. “We will fight for justice in court for this family who were enjoying a walk in the park in the summer. Threatening against others is not acceptable.”
