Sarah Foster Responds to US Arrest of Nicolas Maduro

Sarah Foster expressed her joy over the recent arrest of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro on Saturday.

In various posts on social media, Foster, who is the daughter of musician David Foster, shared that she has been aiding families in Venezuela for over ten years. She urged her followers to “learn” about the struggles people have faced under Maduro’s government.

“People are just addicted to being angry,” Foster stated on X. “While you’re harboring anger, Venezuela is experiencing happiness for the first time in 25 years.”

U.S. forces apprehended Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, from their residence on Friday, transporting them via the aircraft carrier Iwo Jima. He is set to face federal charges.

“I didn’t vote for Trump,” Foster mentioned in a video. “Honestly, I wasn’t too excited to vote for Kamala, but I did it anyway.”

She highlighted her extensive work providing food, medicine, and essential items to children in Venezuela, stressing the deep connections she has formed with local families, many of whom have experienced heart-wrenching losses due to the dire situation in the country.

“It’s hard to imagine parents being unable to secure basic necessities for their kids. I’ve spoken with mothers who have witnessed their children pass away at home. It’s unimaginable,” she lamented.

“I’ve been voicing concerns about President Maduro and the plight in Venezuela for over a decade. Before you criticize, I honestly can’t predict what this means for America,” she said. “Right now, I feel a sense of relief for the people in Venezuela.”

She continued, “So before you turn this into criticism of President Trump, look at the genuine conditions of life in Venezuela. The country is not under occupation anymore; it feels liberated today. Explore it, read about it.”

“I’m not suggesting this isn’t oil-related—perhaps it is, maybe there’s something more sinister at play. But right now, for the Venezuelan people, this is a positive development, and that’s worth acknowledging.”

A new indictment was revealed Saturday by Attorney General Pam Bondi, charging Maduro with orchestrating a narco-terrorism conspiracy tied to significant cocaine trafficking into the U.S., along with related drug importation and firearms offenses.

Cilia Flores is also implicated in a long-standing cocaine trafficking conspiracy and associated weapon crimes.

The charges build upon earlier indictments from 2020.

Gen. Dan Cain, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, announced “Operation Absolute Resolve,” a mission involving over 150 aircraft, where the U.S. military, intelligence, and law enforcement are collaborating to apprehend both Maduro and Flores.

“This operation symbolizes our steadfast commitment to justice and our resolve to hold accountable those who jeopardize peace and stability,” he remarked at a press conference at Mar-a-Lago, alongside President Trump and cabinet officials.
