Shocking Murder-Suicide Involving Influencer Sarah Gilson

The father of Sarah Gilson’s children had been urging her to leave her second husband for years before a tragic murder-suicide unfolded. This incident occurred merely weeks after he publicly labeled her a pedophile online.

Lyle Landers, Gilson’s first husband, expressed deep concern about her relationship with Jeremiah “Sean” Duffy, who had faced allegations of abusing young boys. Landers stated that Duffy posed a danger to Gilson from the start of their relationship.

“It was a situation where domestic violence was seen as acceptable. I had been asking her to break up with him for five years,” he shared, mentioning his efforts to help her escape what he described as Duffy’s controlling grip.

Landers’ fears became a grim reality when Gilson, a 43-year-old lifestyle and beauty influencer, was discovered dead in her home, having been shot multiple times. This discovery came just weeks after she sought a protective order against her estranged spouse.

In her application for a protection order, Gilson alleged that Duffy had made suicidal threats and fled from her. Court documents indicated that Duffy, 48, had been mandated to maintain a distance of 100 meters from her, resulting in his eviction from their shared residence.

If we look back, Gilson had attempted to get protective orders against Duffy twice in 2021, but these requests were denied when he didn’t show up to the hearings.

In a TikTok video posted two weeks before her death, Gilson accused Duffy of being a pedophile, while court records also revealed that she faced allegations of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl who participated in a basketball team he coached.

The day Gilson sought the protection order, another order was filed against Duffy on behalf of a teenage boy he allegedly molested over a long period across multiple states.

Concern grew when another coach reported witnessing Duffy assaulting his girlfriend during a basketball event at an elementary school. Investigations were triggered by this report, revealing that Duffy had been sending inappropriate messages and had engaged in physical misconduct with young athletes.

After the incident, Duffy fled the scene and has since evaded contact with law enforcement.

Gilson and Landers managed to part ways amicably seven years prior and share two children. Landers reflected on their relationship, stating, “It was the best decision for both us and the kids.” He emphasized Gilson’s dedication to their children, asserting that her efforts to safeguard them contributed to the tragic outcome.
