Sarti Rosa Debuts in the U.S., Quickly Gains Popularity
Sarti Rosa is creating quite a buzz with its debut in the United States.
This vibrant aperitif, once exclusive to Europe, has made its way into liquor stores nationwide and is quickly becoming a trending topic online.
The drink hails from Italy, crafted by Casa Luigi Sarti & Figli, a historic distillery that has been around since 1885 in Bologna. Its unique flavor profile features notes of blood orange, mango, and passion fruit.
Experts say Gen Z is not abandoning alcohol, but rather adjusting their drinking habits.
Similar to summer favorites like Aperol and Hugo Spritz, Sarti Rosa is being positioned as a potential competitor for consumers, thanks to its eye-catching pink hue and sweet, fruity flavor.
Social media users seem to echo this sentiment.
“Aperol Spritz is out, Salti Spritz is in,” stated one influencer on Instagram while enjoying drinks with friends in Florence, Italy.
A fellow creator posted about spotting Salti Rosa in a Boston liquor store, expressing excitement over the find.

Fans on the official Instagram page for Sarti Rosa continue to request its presence in their cities. One response from Sarti promised, “America, we hear you. See you soon.”
Sarti Rosa has launched in specific locations across the country, with bottles priced around $29.99 in New York City.
Despite its social media success, Derek Brown, co-founder of the Drink Company in Washington, D.C., mentioned that Salti hasn’t become a widespread bar staple yet.
“Social media can create a bit of a bubble. We have to remember that for Sarti to gain traction, consumers need awareness, bartenders need to learn to mix it, and bars must stock it,” he explained. “It’s still fresh on the market, having only started this summer.”
He noted that currently, Hugo Spritz seems to reign supreme, yet he sees potential for Sarti. “If more people start asking for it and bars feature it more, it could definitely gain traction,” he suggested.
Brown pointed out that Sarti’s appealing pink color, spritz factor, and limited availability contribute to its charm.
“Research indicates that pink drinks may taste sweeter and evoke positive feelings,” he shared. “Being new and somewhat exclusive makes it feel special; once people get to try it, they’ll surely post about it.”

He also noted Sarti’s relatively low 14% alcohol by volume (ABV), which adds to its appeal.
“We’re confident this will secure its place among spritzers, offering yet another tasty choice for summer beverages.”
Brown suspects Sarti could be hailed as the “drink of the summer” this year, possibly challenging Aperol and Hugo Spritz for popularity.
“It’s very easy to prepare. It’s colorful and has a fruity, floral scent. We believe it will become a beloved option for summer,” he added.
Some establishments are already innovating their own versions of the spritz.

Maricela Camacho, beverage director at The Farm Italy in New York, noted that the San Salti Spritz, which mixes St. Germain, Salti, lemon sorbet, mint, and prosecco, has quickly become a crowd favorite.
She added that demand for Salti is high, even before customers arrive.
Camacho remarked on the increasing trend, “I’ve already noticed reservations for parties of 20 eager for Salti Spritz.” The appeal is undeniable; just seeing the colorful drinks draws attention.
Expect the hype for Salti to continue into the fall and winter seasons.
