Infowars was put up for auction after the court-appointed receiver in charge of Jones' bankruptcy proceedings insisted the site be shut down and its assets liquidated.
Jones plans to file for bankruptcy in late 2022 after a jury orders him to pay nearly $1.5 billion to the families of victims of the Sandy Hook shooting, which killed 20 first-graders and six adults. did.

The lawsuits filed by families in Connecticut and Texas allege that Jones caused emotional distress by defaming them on his show and repeatedly suggesting the shooting was a hoax.
