Savannah Bananas Team Up with ESPN for Exciting New Season

Exciting news for sports fans: the Savannah Bananas have just announced a significant expansion of their collaboration with ESPN and Disney+. Starting February 28th, a limited package featuring 25 games will be available for streaming through the ESPN app and Disney+, with select broadcasts also happening on ESPN Networks and ABC.

Brent Colborn, an ESPN Vice President, emphasized the growing popularity of “Banana Ball.” He mentioned, “This expansion reflects the tremendous growth and fan demand surrounding Banana Ball. From iconic football stadiums to classic ballparks, these events showcase the energy and creativity that fans love.”

The “Banana Ball” league now includes six teams: Bananas, Party Animals, Firefighters, Texas Tailgators, Loco Beach Coconuts, and Indianapolis Clowns. It seems that the Bananas have reached such a level of fan enthusiasm that they don’t even need to fill major league stadiums anymore.

One of the key highlights this year will be ABC’s first national event at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. “We are excited to form our largest partnership to date with ESPN,” said Bananas owner Jesse Cole. He added that Banana Ball has made remarkable strides, with six teams ready to compete in the upcoming Banana Ball Championship League, complemented by sell-out shows nationwide.

Furthermore, one significant event for this season will be the celebration held at Disneyland, marking a festive occasion for the champions.
