Anthony Scaramucci described former President Trump as “the most un-American presidential candidate in American history” in an interview late Thursday.
“You have to note that Trump is the most un-American presidential candidate in the history of the United States,” Scaramucci said in an interview with host Caitlan Collins on CNN’s “The Source.” “And we have to take a hard look at what he’s going to do as it relates to becoming president of the United States.”
“If he did that, I think he would lose the election,” Scaramucci continued.
Scaramucci, who spent 11 days in Trump’s White House as communications director, has now become a frequent critic of the former president. Scaramucci also said in an interview with CNN that the former president is “working with dictators.”
“He wants to be part of the dictatorship axis with the following people:” [Russian President] President Vladimir Putin,” Scaramucci said. “And I just want to remind everyone that Vladimir Putin has very close ties with Iran right now. Think about what that means for the Middle East. How transactional Donald Trump is. Because we know that.”
“He has made it very clear that he wants to potentially threaten his FCC license against those who disagree with him or are hostile to him in the press. “They have publicly stated that they want to exploit and persecute their political opponents, and the list is endless,” Scaramucci added.
Scaramucci said last month that Trump had a “romance” with Putin over his comments about NATO. President Trump has said he will not protect alliance members who do not contribute enough to meet defense spending goals.
“He has a romantic relationship with Vladimir Putin. So I don’t think anyone in the Western world understands that romantic relationship… Western leaders understand that romantic relationship,” Scaramucci said. he said at the time. “I don’t think anyone in the intelligence community understands the affair because President Vladimir Putin is objectively calling for republics to be reattached to the former Soviet Union.”
