Schumer (DN.Y.)'s book planned stop, “American Anti-Semitism: Warning” It is scheduled to be released Tuesday and has been postponed amidst the expected protests stemming from Schumer's vote to advance the GOP's support spending bill.
“In a new urgent and personal book, Chuck Schumer sheds light on the experiences of Jewish Americans and warns about the nasty revival of anti-Semitism. There is a national and global crisis of misunderstanding when it comes to Jewish history,” the description of his new book states.
Additionally, some suspect that Schumer could fear influence from Democratic pro-Palestinian activists in connection with his new anti-Semitism book.
Nevertheless, Schumer claims he is pro-Israel, but he previously opposed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel's retaliatory efforts in continuing conflicts with Muslim terrorist groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah.
“[I]After the end of the F-war, Prime Minister Netanyahu's current coalition is in power. . . Schumer said in 2024. “As everyone knows, there is a serious disagreement about the way Benjamin Netanyahu implemented these policies.”
President Donald Trump previously made comments that referenced Schumer and his criticism.
“Schumer is Palestinian as far as I'm concerned. He's become Palestinian. He was once Jewish. He's not Jewish anymore. He's Palestinian,” Trump said, suggesting that New York lawmakers were too critical of Israel.
“Schumer's book tour event for the week of Senator March 17 has been postponed for security reasons. The planned event page will work to reschedule this event at a later date.
A Democrat petition that plans to withhold party donations until Schumer drops as Democrats have been signed nearly 25,000 times when Democrats reach a low favor rating.
The Continuing Resolution (CR) bill, voted last Friday by the Senate, required 60 votes to pass. There, nine Democrats voted in favor of passing the bill led by Schumer.
Schumer has since defended the bill, saying it was “as bad as CR,” but “the government shutdown will be much worse.”
“The government closure will give Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Doge almost the full power of what to close because they can decide on essential services. If Snap's kids decide they shouldn't get food, they can cut it out immediately. That would have been a much worse outcome,” he said.
Meanwhile, Democrats are teeing Schumer CNNVan Jones of Schumer's decision “has never seen this level of volcanic fury among Democrats.”
LGBTQ activist Charlotte Climer replied: Schumer announced this week that he had postponed his book tour due to “security reasons” amid a planned protest over caves to Trump and Musk. It seems he didn't want to face music. This is not leadership. ”
“Chuck Schumer was planning to discuss Richie Torres TMRW and his book on anti-Semitism with an unrecorded $45 ticket event and where all viewer questions would be groundbreaking in advance. Now, they're postponing it for security reasons and postponing all other book events,” author David Klion added.
Additionally, President Donald Trump praised Schumer for “doing the right thing” by voting for the spending bill.
“A really good and clever move by Senator Schumer. This could lead to something big for America, a whole new direction and a start,” he added.
GOP president Thomas Massie (Rk.y.), who Trump had previously criticized for opposing the spending bill, had been criticized by Trump for opposing the spending bill, as Massie argued that the bill represented a “continuation of Biden-Schumer-Johnson 2024 spending Zenda,” predicted it would become a cave despite the initial announcement of resistance.
“As I predicted three days ago, Senate Democrats carried this across the finish line as they are essentially a continuation of the Schumer Biden Johnson 2024 omnibus. Ten Senate Democrats voted yes and one Senate Republican voted no (Landpole!),” writes Massey.
“The first excuse (to avoid cutting spending) was to wait until after the election. The second excuse was to wait until everyone was sworn in. And now the excuse to CR is, “Oh, I don't have time.” There's no time to do the right thing. We don't want to fight now. We'll be fighting in September 2025,” Massey said in an X-Video posted last Tuesday.
“I don't see a fight coming. I hope there's a fight to cut spending. I'm not seeing it. We're our own worst enemy here in the Republican Party,” he added.
“Doge Cuts should also be locked. Why fund all the waste, fraud and abuse that Doge discovers? Why are we cutting that budget? We thought we would get rid of something like that.”
