Republican Strategist Dismisses Concerns About Trump’s Health
On Tuesday night, Republican strategist Scott Jennings pushed back against recent Democratic claims regarding President Donald Trump’s health, labeling the narrative as a hoax.
White House press secretary Caroline Levitt reported Monday that Trump had an MRI in October during a routine examination to exclude cardiovascular issues. During a discussion on “The Arena with Casey Hunt,” Jennings was asked why Trump had recently brought up MRIs and whether this suggested any confusion or health worries. Jennings rejected the idea entirely.
“Honestly, I think this is an attempt to shape a narrative about him that isn’t real, because Democrats are so frustrated with the current state of the White House under Biden that they’re pretending everything is fine, when it clearly isn’t,” Jennings stated. “They’re trying to shift that narrative onto Donald Trump, which is, well, not accurate at all. And I can only speak from my own experience—he seemed fine to me.”
He added that Trump held a lengthy three-hour Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, followed by his usual Q&A session with journalists.
“I met him in the Oval Office just a few days ago for about an hour. He looked and sounded perfectly fine to me. We discussed various topics while people moved in and out. It was just as busy as it was when I was there,” Jennings shared. “And honestly, I didn’t observe anything out of the ordinary. I also caught most of today’s Cabinet meeting, which was lengthy, and afterward, the president spoke with reporters, answering all their questions.”
Levitt reassured the press that the MRI scan was part of Trump’s standard executive medical check-up and confirmed that he is in good health overall. She elaborated that advanced imaging tests are beneficial for men in Trump’s age group to ensure preventive care by early detection of potential issues.
She mentioned that the MRI revealed no evidence of inflammation or clotting, and the abdominal images appeared normal. Levitt indicated that such thorough examinations are typical for executive health assessments.
The White House also issued a doctor’s note stating that Trump is in “excellent overall health,” aligning with his comments from Sunday, where he casually referred to the MRI but said he had “no idea” what part of his body the doctor examined.
