Scott Jennings predicts Biden will ‘leave office in disgrace’ during lively CNN panel exchange

CNN's resident conservative commentator Scott Jennings wholeheartedly rejected the rosy predictions of his liberal colleagues about President Biden's performance during a lively panel discussion, calling the 82-year-old “ashamed.” He claimed that this would bring an end to his presidency.

Fellow panelist Karen Finney, a Democrat, argued Sunday that Biden's record and accomplishments will “stand the test of time,” despite legitimate questions about his mental acuity, calling Jennings It caught the attention of Mr.

“It was very worrying to learn how badly his health had deteriorated at the end of this year, and like many people, I had no idea things had gotten to that point,” Finney said. He made the claim Sunday during a panel discussion on CNN's “State of the Union.”

“Having said that, I think he showed up for the job. He got the job done. I think some accomplishments in the Middle East and foreign policy stand the test of time.”

Finny was apparently alluding to something recent. Wall Street Journal article and other recent reports depicting Biden as having been in a state of cognitive decline during his first term.

He also cited the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the signing of the CHIPS and Science Act to boost domestic semiconductor production as key bright spots in Biden's accomplishments.

Jennings wasn't having that.

“Do you think the Middle East is in better shape now than when he took office?” he interjected.

“I think he will leave office in shame! Hunter Biden's pardon was a disgrace. He will be remembered primarily for inflation and the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal,” he added.

A Republican strategist who helped advise Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) also argued that hiding Biden's mental strength would cast a shadow on his accomplishments.

“We still don't know the full story of what they did to try to cover up what they've been doing in the West Wing,” he said.

Former South Carolina Congressman Bakari Sellers (D) has hinted that President-elect Donald Trump will leave behind a disgraceful legacy.

“To be impeached twice is to walk away in shame. That's the difference. Joe Biden, regardless of whether he has the leadership ability, will be remembered in the short term by what you say.” I think it will be done,” he said.

“In the long run, this person is a lot like Mitch McConnell. You don't necessarily have to agree with everything they stand for. You don't have to agree with every vote. But if they put the American people first, I always knew what I was thinking.”

Republican pollster and fellow panelist Kristen Soltis Anderson speculated that “in the short term, he will be remembered in part for buyer's remorse.”

“Many voters feel that they have not felt that the world has become more stable and the economy has gotten better over the last four years,” she asserted. “That's why Donald Trump is coming back, and that's what will lead to this long-term legacy.”

She argued that Biden's decision not to hand over the baton sooner would leave a stain on his legacy.

At 82 years old, Biden is the oldest sitting president in U.S. history. But if the 78-year-old Trump serves his entire term, he will exceed that number by several months.
