Trump to Attend Ryder Cup in New York

President Donald Trump is set to make his third appearance at a sports event in New York this week, specifically at the Ryder Cup taking place at Bethpage Black on Friday.

Earlier this month, he attended the Men’s US Open Finals on September 7 and also participated in a New York Yankees game against the Detroit Tigers on September 11, marking the anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Avid golf fans will have a chance to see the world’s number one golfer, Scotty Scheffler, during this first Ryder Cup held in the New York Metro area, where Team USA and Team Europe will compete at People’s Country Club.

“I’m really excited about this event,” Scheffler shared.

Covered significantly in the sports world, Team USA Captain Keegan Bradley expressed his honor at having the President support their team during the Ryder Cup, noting how special it is to be around the current President, especially at such a prominent venue as Bethpage Black.

He also mentioned his anticipation for the ceremonial first tee shot, saying, “I think it’s going to be a moment to remember across all sports.”

Reflecting on his interactions with Trump, Scheffler described the President as someone who genuinely loves golf and treats everyone with respect, regardless of their role. “I’ve received calls and texts from him after my wins. He makes those around him feel confident, and that’s a quality I appreciated during our time together,” Scheffler explained.

Earlier this year, Trump visited the Doral Course in Miami before the LIV Golf event and participated in the LIV Golf Pro Am in Washington, DC in 2023. He also attended the 2017 Presidents Cup in Jersey City, where Team USA triumphed over Team International.
