Seahawks face penalties for unusual reasons in matchup with Jaguars

During a recent game, the Jacksonville Jaguars attempted a two-point conversion following a touchdown, but the Seattle Seahawks were flagged for having too many players on the field. Usually, this violation involves 12 players, as teams are limited to 11 on both offense and defense. However, officials indicated that Seattle had 13 players on the field.

This unusual penalty quickly grabbed the attention of fans on social media. In that moment, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Tim Patrick. Rather than sticking with an eight-point lead, Jacksonville opted to aim for a six-point advantage but ended up failing the conversion attempt.

Earlier in the game, Lawrence had already connected with Brian Thomas Jr. for a touchdown. At one point, the Seahawks were ahead 20-6, thanks to a 61-yard touchdown from Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold to Jackson Smith-Njigba in the second quarter. Darnold later caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Cooper Kupp in the third.

In addition to these offensive plays, Seahawks kicker Jason Myers contributed with two field goals during the match. The Jaguars came into this game feeling positive after a thrilling victory against the Kansas City Chiefs, hoping to secure their fifth win of the season.

The Seahawks, on the other hand, were looking to bounce back from a close loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5, entering the game with a record of 3 wins and 2 losses.
