The Seattle Seahawks could be without star wide receiver DK Metcalf for a while.
Metcalf landed hard after going up to pick up a pass during the Seahawks' 34-14 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. After testing his knee on the sideline, he was eventually taken to the locker room.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday that Metcalf suffered a Grade 1 MCL sprain and is considered “week to week.”

Before his injury, Metcalf was on his way to having a big day with four catches for 99 yards and one touchdown before being sidelined in the fourth quarter.
His touchdown came just before halftime, as head coach Mike McDonald elected to continue the attack with 10 seconds left in the half. Quarterback Geno Smith hit Metcalf in the end zone with a 31-yard strike to give the Seahawks a 17-7 lead going into the break.
“We’ve shown in the three years we’ve been here that we’re going to take that shot if we can,” Smith said.

“The protection was great, DK ran some great routes and we were able to score in the end zone,” Smith added.
Losing Metcalf long-term would be a huge blow to the Seahawks. The 26-year-old leads the team in targets (61), receiving yards (568) and receiving touchdowns (3). His quarterback knows how important Metcalf is.
Smith said after the game that he felt Metcalf's injury was due to the position he placed his receiver when throwing.
“You know, I was just over there telling him, 'I'm getting massages all week,'” Smith said. “You know, I put him in a tough situation, and whatever I have to do to get him back to health, but we have to get him back,” Because he's the guy we need.”
If Metcalf is sidelined, it will fall to Tyler Lockett and Jackson Smith-Njiba to take on the responsibility.
With the win over the Falcons, the Seahawks ended their losing streak with three games and improved to 4 wins and 3 losses on the season.
