A 17-year-old girl was arrested Saturday afternoon after public property was vandalized following left-wing protests criticizing both Republicans and Democrats in Seattle.
The “Building a People's Movement” event drew about 200 demonstrators to the Space Needle near the city's downtown, according to Seattle police.
The group posted a video on Facebook in which its members told demonstrators that the United States is a “fake democracy” and described the Republican and Democratic parties as a “fake two-party system.” [that] A second video shows protesters shouting, “From the sea to the rivers, Palestine will live forever.”
Police said the demonstrators violated city law by obstructing traffic as they marched south on Fifth Avenue from the Space Needle toward downtown Seattle.

During the march, Community Response Group (CRG) officers discovered black graffiti spray-painted on a concrete pillar of the Seattle Monorail between Denny Way and Bell Street.

The graffiti, which police say will remain forever, includes various phrases, including “Seattle with Gaza,” “Pigs go away,” “SPD with blood on hands,” and “You'll see a free Gaza.” A statement was written.

CRG officers pursued the suspect, a 17-year-old girl, and police recovered black spray paint and matching paint on her hands. She was arrested for second-degree malicious mischief.

Police declined to arrest the boy on a felony charge after speaking with juvenile detention staff at the Children and Family Justice Center.
Since the girl is a juvenile, she was processed at the Nishi Police Precinct and then placed in the custody of her parents.
