Secret Service Agent’s Controversial Remarks on Charlie Kirk’s Death
Current Secret Service agents are reportedly discussing comments made by Anthony Pough on social media, suggesting that Charlie Kirk deserves blame for his own demise. This post was shared by Susan Crabtree, who identifies as a Secret Service agent. Pough stated that Kirk should either be condemned for his murder or recognized for his actions.
“If you’re mourning this guy, then just delete me,” Pough’s post indicates, referring to Kirk as someone who “spewed hate and racism” on his show. He further noted, not quite convincingly, that he wasn’t leaving the conversation just yet.
“If you’re lamenting this man… delete me. He spouted hatred and racism on his show. Especially when we should be mourning the innocent children killed in Colorado. In the end, you answer to a higher power, and disregarding karma is a mistake,” Pough added.

Crabtree reported that Pough’s remarks are circulating among Secret Service personnel, sparking surprise and concern among those assigned to protect high-profile figures, including former President Donald Trump. One agent commented, “If that’s what drives you apart as colleagues, then it’s risky to be around.” There’s a growing worry about the principles of those sworn to protect free speech while navigating political landscapes.
Pough’s social media activity includes various negative sentiments towards Trump and his policies. Crabtree noted that Pough, currently in the later stages of his career, is generally not focused on the president’s protection directly, although he might still be assigned to high-security events.
The Secret Service has faced criticism following an incident involving an attack on Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, leading to multiple congressional hearings and the resignation of a supervisor under pressure.
In a recent update, sources confirm that Pough has been placed on administrative leave as he faces potential termination.
