Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin touted that American weapons were being sent to Ukraine.

In a meeting with world defense leaders on Monday, Mr. Austin insisted that Ukraine’s military is already making good use of the lethal relief supplies sent to it. He vowed to send more weapons to this warring country.
The Pentagon chief stressed that Russia’s new attacks on Ukraine suggest more aid needs to be sent.
Austin went on to say that without Ukraine’s security, the security of Western countries would be threatened.
“Ukraine’s survival and success is central to Ukraine’s security, European security, global security, and the security of the United States,” Austin said. “If Putin wins, the tyrants will conclude that they can invade and conquer their sovereign neighbors, leaving Europe in Putin’s shadow and the world even more violent and chaotic.” Therefore, Ukraine’s fight for freedom and security matters to all of us, and I am more determined than ever to ensure that Ukraine has what it needs to succeed. ”
Meanwhile, Ukrainian leaders are calling on the Biden administration to speed up arms shipments.
Ukrainian forces are reportedly struggling to strengthen their front lines amid intensifying Russian attacks.
