Democrat Strategist Criticizes Vice President’s Travel Choices
On Wednesday, while vacationing overseas, Democrat strategist James Kerrville sharply criticized Vice President JD Vance, suggesting that Democrats should aggressively oppose him.
Vance spent time at a lavish property near Kilmarnock during his family holiday in Scotland. In a podcast episode of his “Political War Room,” Kerrville mocked Vance for choosing to travel to Oxfordshire instead of enjoying a vacation within the U.S.
“Sure, he has the right to take a break. I’ll give him that. But guess where he opted to go? To a spot called Oxfordshire, England, known as Martha’s British vineyard. I mean, why didn’t we make a bigger deal out of this?” Kerrville questioned.
He further raised concerns about why Democrats and tourism organizations in places like Florida, Nevada, and Wyoming weren’t capitalizing on Vance’s decision to spend money abroad.
“Why didn’t the Florida Panhandle Tourism Association make a fuss about this? People in upstate New York would have welcomed his dollars. Instead, he goes to some English village,” Kerrville added.
The seasoned Democratic operative claimed Vance experienced rejection during his stay. “The pub staff refused to serve him, so he wasn’t even welcomed in the best establishment. Use JD Vance as a target; hit back every time you get the chance,” Kerrville stated.
Despite these remarks, Vance managed to raise $4 million for the Republican National Committee during his UK visit, marking his latest fundraising effort since becoming the RNC Finance Chair in March, according to reports.
During this time, the Vice President also fulfilled official duties. Earlier on Wednesday, he toured Union Station in Washington, DC, alongside Defense Secretary Pete Hegses and Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, reviewing President Donald Trump’s criminal crackdown initiative, which has resulted in over 550 arrests in the capital.
