Sen. Rick Scott to Anthony Fauci: You're Concealing Yourself with a 'Phony' Autopen Pardon

Fauci Criticized by Sen. Scott During Hearing

Former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci, faced sharp criticism from Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla.) during a recent hearing. Scott accused Fauci of relying on a “fraudulent” automatic pardon and of continuously invoking the Fifth Amendment to avoid questions.

In his remarks, Scott shared insights about how Fauci’s leadership affected families, particularly noting his own concerns as a father about the vaccine situation. “I can’t imagine the kinds of questions they faced regarding health decisions,” Scott stated, emphasizing the intense pressure on families to make informed choices during a tumultuous time.

Scott recounted his conversations with pregnant women who were anxious about the changing information regarding vaccines. “Every visit to the doctor brought new guidelines,” he remarked, highlighting the confusion and fear that many felt. He criticized the “misleading information” that Fauci shared, declaring it to be “horrifying” and a significant factor in the growing distrust of the American health system.

“You’ve shattered trust for millions more than any other event in recent history,” Scott expressed emphatically. He claimed that Fauci’s actions led to immense suffering, particularly for those unable to be with loved ones during their final moments.

According to Scott, Fauci has, in effect, damaged the foundation of public health trust, instilling a sense of skepticism in future generations about governmental institutions. “Decades of work have been undone because you prioritized your own image over public safety,” he said, questioning what might have been different if Fauci had made different choices.

Fauci remained silent in response to Scott’s critiques.

Scott also criticized Fauci for not showing remorse, suggesting that an automatic pardon from the Biden administration has allowed him to evade accountability. “If another pandemic occurred, countless lives could be at risk due to your actions,” he said, expressing concern that Fauci’s conduct has undermined public trust in healthcare.

In conclusion, Scott stated, “You’ve let down the public and are now hiding behind an unjust pardon. Your legacy will not be that of a hero but rather that of someone who eroded public trust in health institutions for fleeting fame.”
