Sen. Tom Cotton slammed VP Harris on Sunday, predicting she would crumble under increased pressure now that she has secured the Democratic presidential nomination.
Harris has not held a formal press conference in 15 days since winning the nomination on July 22. Since then, she has been out on the campaign trail, speaking at various events and speaking with reporters, but has not held a formal press conference or extensive interview in the 15 days since then.
“But let’s not forget, she’s only been a candidate for two weeks,” Cotton said in an interview on CBS on Sunday. “She hasn’t answered one question from the media.”

“She only had one unscripted moment on Thursday night at Andrews Air Force Base welcoming the hostages home,” Cotton said of the hostages who were returned to the U.S. on Friday and greeted by Biden and Harris.
“She delivered the incomprehensible ramblings for which she has become famous,” Cotton said of Harris’ comments at the event.
“When she has to go before the media, and you will urge her to do so, she’s going to have to explain why she wants to end oil and gas production in this country, why she wants to ban gas-powered vehicles, why she wants to confiscate private firearms,” the senator continued.

“No matter who Democrats wanted to put against President Trump, we knew this race was going to be close from the start,” Cotton said. “But Kamala Harris has only been a candidate for two weeks and has not answered a single question. I think when the American people look closely at her and her extreme positions, they’ll see they don’t want her to continue the tradition of a Biden-Harris administration.”
