The Senate confirmed that Lee Zeldin would lead the Environmental Protection Agency on Wednesday. Zeldin is the seventh candidate of President Donald Trump's cabinet.
Zeldin was confirmed with 56-42 votes with the support of all three Democrats and 53 Republican Party. As a whole, 42 Democratic Senator voted to prevent his confirmation.

Zeldin has repeatedly defended Trump's environmental policy, rolls back regulations, and reverses the so -called “green energy” policy from the previous administration.
West Virginia, Republican Senator Shere Moore Capito, praised the Senate Environmental Public Public Business Committee, praised Zeldin as “qualified and talented.”
