Senate Shoots Down Sanders’ Efforts to Block Sale of Artillery to Israel

The Senate rejected three proposals introduced by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) and other Democratic senators to block the sale of artillery and other weapons to Israel.

The Senate voted 18-79; rejected SJRes.111. The resolution prohibited the sale of:

…32,739 120mm tank cartridges. Consists of a 120mm M1147 High-Explosive Multi-Purpose with Tracer (HEMP-T) cartridge and/or a 120mm M830A1 High-Explosive Multi-Purpose Anti-Tank (MPAT). Comes with tracer cartridge.
