Senator John Fetterman from the Democratic Party Commends Trump and Supports 'Operation Epic Fury'

Sen. John Fetterman Backs Trump’s Actions Against Iran

Senator John Fetterman, a notable supporter of Israel in Congress, has voiced his complete support for President Donald Trump’s recent military actions against Iran as part of Operation Epic Fury.

During an appearance on *Fox and Friends Weekend*, Fetterman remarked, “Negotiations never went well with Iran. Sometimes you have to take action to create peace.” This comment highlighted his belief in taking decisive measures even amidst diplomatic failures.

He also criticized European leaders advocating for renewed negotiations, questioning why there can’t be a consensus that the Iranian regime needs to be dismantled.

In defense of the operation, Fetterman commented, “This is more of a national issue than a party issue,” addressing the backlash from some members of the Democratic Party.

Previously, he expressed on social media that “President Trump has been willing to do what is right and necessary to bring true peace to this region,” adding a nod to America, the military, and Israel. His stance showcases an unusual alignment with Trump amidst ongoing political divides.

Fetterman, a member of the Homeland Security Committee, has surprised many by positioning himself as a bipartisan figure, contrary to expectations when he ran for office in 2022.

He has even challenged his fellow Democrats by supporting operations that targeted Iranian nuclear sites last June.

Senator Lindsey Graham, known for backing military interventions, shared his enthusiasm for Trump’s actions, stating, “As I watch and monitor this historic operation, I am in awe of President Trump’s determination to be a man of peace but ultimately evil’s worst nightmare.” His tweets conveyed strong support for the president’s strategy.

Further reactions came from various political figures. Former Vice President Mike Pence, despite his recent criticisms of Trump, voiced support for the actions, declaring that “justice is being served against the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism.”

On the flip side, Rep. Thomas Massie expressed his dissent, criticizing Trump for not seeking Congressional approval, labeling it “an act of war not authorized by Congress.” He continued to oppose the military engagement, asserting that this was not aligned with an “America First” approach.

As for the military operation itself, U.S. officials indicated it focuses on military targets and missile sites in coordination with Israel, aimed at mitigating immediate threats. Notably, the operation does not involve targeting Iranian leaders directly, an approach that’s more aligned with Israeli actions.
