Several Democrats are planning to boycott President Donald Trump's first council speech on Tuesday.
Trump will address both the U.S. Capitol's House and Senate members on Tuesday evening, but some Democrats will skip the event, which includes Sen. Chris Murphy, who will instead hold the speech live bittall.
“I think that latest speech will be a farce. I think it will be a Magapep rally, not a serious talk with the country.” I told CNN “Union State” on Sunday.
“I think Donald Trump will be lying about his alliance with Russia, Elon Musk, what he is trying to do to essentially monetize Musk and his billionaire crowd,” Murphy said. “And I'm not going to be a part of it.”

“The concept of half of my colleagues is standing up and up, and every few minutes the concept of huge applause would be uninteresting for what I think is terrible for Americans,” Bayer said of the address. According to Politico. “I don't think I'm contributing anything to the event.”

House Democrats were asked before their speech by the House Democrats' Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC) and took guests “harmed” by the Trump administration, Fox News Digital learned.
“The DPCC and leader Jeffries encouraged members to bring in guests who have harmed Donald Trump's threat to Medicare and Snap, and veterans like mass shootings of veteran veterans working in our civil servants, gabbes, disabled Marine veterans, and new dads who worked in the IRS, shot FORIATIES MANIGE.
Several democratic members attending the speech plan to bring federal workers fired in recent weeks to protest recent efforts to reduce federal agencies to the Government's Department of Efficiency (DOGE).

Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) will give a Democrat rebuttal speech after Trump's speech, focusing on the actions the administration is currently taking.
“The public is hoping to take the level together with our leaders on what's actually happening in our country,” Slotkin said in a statement. “From our economic security to national security, we must advance how we can actually improve the lives of people in our countries we all love.
