Several students from Mississippi Middle School were hospitalized Tuesday after ingesting food that was allegedly handed out by classmates, authorities said.
Yazoo Police Chief Terry Gunn said six students from Woolfork Middle School were taken to a nearby hospital on school day. WLBT.
As of Tuesday afternoon, two students had been released, and the other four were expected to be fired from the hospital by the end of the day.
Authorities are still investigating the case, and those responsible are likely to face charges, Gunn said.
“We're trying to understand where this kid comes from,” he said.

In early March, 11 middle schoolers from Long Island were also hospitalized after students gave THC race trash to their classmates.
The 12th student went home that day but was not hospitalized.
