alive!!!!!! Apple TV+The hit workplace thriller, Severance payThat is.
More than two years after the action-packed, anxiety-inducing, cliffhanger-filled Season 1 finale, “The We We Are,” premiered, fans finally got a glimpse of what’s to come in the highly anticipated Season 2. Though packed with content, it’s still limited to just one photo and a few seconds of footage, but this unexpected preview was a reminder that new episodes of the series are even more coveted than Lumon’s beloved egg bars.
Dan Erickson served as executive producer and the film was directed by Ben Stiller and Aoife McArdle. Severance pay The story follows the team of “macro data refiners” at LuMont Corporation: Mark (Adam Scott), Herry (Britt Lauer), Dylan (Zach Cherry), and Irving (John Turturro). The four employees undergo “separation” surgery, where their memories of their work and personal lives are surgically separated. When they’re at home as “Outies,” they have no memory of work; and when they’re at the office as “Innies,” they can’t remember what life was like outside. The extreme compartmentalization works well until newcomer Herry inspires his coworkers, challenging the status quo and beginning to question their employer.
When we last saw the MDR team, Dylan was helping Herry, Irv, and Mark evade the system and temporarily transform into their Outie identities, trying to pull off an epic escape plan, and the Season 2 teaser gives fans a glimpse into the horrific aftermath of their actions… or it is?Shall we review?
In the first photo, Adam Scott’s Mark is seen walking down Lumon’s infamous white hallway with a bunch of blue balloons with his face on them. Celebration?! At a time like this?? That’s crazy. At first, Season 2 was going to feature Mark’s flashbacks to his first day at Lumon, his birthday party, or… Huh! — He was forced to retire early, but only a few seconds of footage from season 2 were shown. Recently released preview video for Apple TV+ Provides additional context.

The video (located at the top of this page) begins with a rather shaken-up, in my opinion, Outtie Mark getting into an elevator to head off to work. He puts the key card around his neck, and the next thing we notice is Milchick (Tramell Tillman) standing in what appears to be the MDR offices, wearing a black jacket, Lumon lapel pin, and a stunning blue turtleneck. He’s holding a blue balloon with Mark’s face on it, smiling and cheerily saying, “Welcome back! Hold on!”
That’s true, doc! But now that we’re back in this creepy, decaying office, it feels like we never left. Though there’s no footage of Mark receiving the balloon from Mirczyk, or of him carrying it down the hallway, you can still see from the footage above that there’s more balloon action to come. But that’s not all!
Later in the Apple TV+ preview, we see Mark (presumably in an elevator) moving between the past and the present. One moment he is in his usual flashy work attire of a suit and tie, and the next he is wearing a red sweater, black pants, and white sneakers. In one scene, Mark is shown surrounded by screens with wires attached to his head, suggesting that he is about to undergo an amputation. We also see Mark lying on a table in a conference room, just like Helly, who underwent surgery in the premiere. The speed of the interspersed images suggests that Mark may be experiencing an intrusive and uncontrollable burst of memories. Will he be able to remember his home life at work after the final episode? Is it the first surgery and the moment of his awakening? Or is he having his memory wiped again now that he knows too much?! If it’s a fresh memory reset, The security room’s “clean slate” function is to blameOr is there some kind of reintegration happening? The questions continue endlessly!
Unfortunately, we won’t know what that entails until Season 2 airs in its entirety, but the final shot of the teaser shows Mark fearfully looking around the halls of Lumon before running away, so it at least looks like he has a good understanding of his surroundings and the dangers that lurk there. Ahh, it looks like we’re in for another great season!
I don’t know the exact time yet Severance pay Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Apple TV+. Ben Stiller promised fans that it’ll be released “soon.” Hopefully, this will happen by 2025.
Stay tuned for updates on Season 2. And as always, the real spiritual biography of Dr. Ricken Laszlo Hale is here! You, youis coming towards us.
