Shani Louk pic victory for AP proves yet again journos and profs love Hamas

Want to win a prestigious photojournalism award from a top public university?

All you have to do is embed yourself with a gang of Islamist killers and take pictures of them gleefully murdering an innocent young woman.

That’s what the Associated Press did. The collection, which includes horrifying images of October 7th of Hamas thugs in the back of a pickup truck, yelling and howling, presumably over a street, won the International Painting of the Year competition’s Team Painting Story of the Year. Won 1st place in the division. The body of 22-year-old Shani Luke.

Luke, a participant in the Nova Festival, has committed the heinous crime of being Jewish.

This victory and the photo raised questions that all involved had to answer.

First, how on earth did the AP lensman get close enough to take this photo?

They do appear to have had ties to Hamas crews, as a new lawsuit persuasively alleges.

we know At least the person who took the October 7th photo, Hassan Esraia, was caught on film being yelled at by Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar years before he became a “journalist.” Ta.

Another question is: What were the people in charge of the contest thinking?

The Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute at the Missouri School of Journalism, the nation’s oldest J-school, runs the POYI show.

Would the McCamooks out there give a similar award to the photo of Derek Chauvin kneeling to George Floyd in 2021?

Remember: Shani Luke was not killed by starvation, fire, or flood.

A terrorist group murdered her because she believed in the wrong religion.

Given how widespread sympathy for Hamas is in the media and academia, it’s hard not to see the Associated Press win. in spite of Including this vile image as a tacit endorsement.
