Shedeur Sanders calls ‘cap’ on one ESPN expert’s 2025 NFL mock draft

Chedur Sanders doesn't feel the latest mock draft of Field Yates.

The Star Colorado quarterback, which is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, announced a social media controversy this week after Yates. ESPN NFL analysts predicted he would fall to sixth overall.

Yates' projectionwhich could have underestimated Sanders' talent in some eyes, prompting a quick and pointy response from young signal hoping to do so.

“It's Cap Bruh. I won't be in sixth place,” Sanders claimed this week in a video filmed by his brother Deion Sanders Jr.

“That's why I don't have a TV in my house,” he added.

In his response, Sanders revealed he disagrees with the fact that he is the sixth overall pick – a spot the Raiders have now.

Sanders' retort was a direct challenge to Yates' evaluation. This includes Miami quarterback Come Ward in third overall, with quarterback Needy New York Giants.

Sanders shows a flash of glow, but the QB in the top two wasn't the universal idea that led to the April draft.

In January, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that Sanders was not considered the first round of several scouts.

Sanders, who finished eighth in the Heisman poll, completed 74% of his passes in 2024 for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns for Colorado.
