Shedeur Sanders' clear message to Maxx Crosby following the Browns victory

Browns Rookie Quarterback Shedur Sanders Shines Against Raiders

Shedur Sanders, the rookie quarterback for the Browns, had a memorable interaction with Maxx Crosby, the star defensive end for the Raiders, following Cleveland’s impressive 24-10 victory on the road against a tough Las Vegas defense.

With a grin, Sanders approached Crosby, inquiring, “Why are you trying to criticize me?” as they exchanged handshakes on the field at Allegiant Stadium.

Crosby chuckled and replied, “Yeah, that’s what I do.”

Crosby was a standout player in the game, recording three of the Raiders’ five quarterback hits along with five tackles. The only sack on Sanders came from Malcolm Koonce, which was a three-yard tackle made halfway through the first quarter.

This game had some intense moments.

“Keep doing what you do,” Crosby encouraged Sanders. “Good luck, brother. I’m rooting for you.”

In his first regular-season start, Sanders completed 11 of 20 passes for 209 yards, tossing one touchdown. Interestingly, he and Crosby share a friendship that goes back several years.

After the match, Sanders commented on Crosby’s impact, saying, “We definitely have a strategy in place for him. He’s a great player. He made his presence known.”

Before the game, Crosby had reflected on the significance of facing a team from his home state of Colorado.

This game marks a turning point for Sanders, who previously struggled in a loss against the Ravens, finishing with just 4 of 16 passes completed for 47 yards and an interception.

With Sanders stepping up due to rookie Dillon Gabriel’s concussion, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski announced on Monday that Sanders will continue as the starting quarterback for their upcoming match against the 49ers, even with Gabriel now cleared from concussion protocol.
