She’s Different from Biden Because ‘She Is a Woman of Color’ and Younger and Has a Home Care Plan

On Thursday's “CNN News Central,” Harris-Waltz campaign co-chair Mitch Landrieu responded to a question about how 2024 Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris differs from President Joe Biden, saying, “She is… It’s clearly a woman and a woman.” She’s a person of color and a new generation,” she said, indicating plans for home care.

Co-host John Berman said, “Vice President Harris has been asked many times how she is different from President Biden, and some wonder if she stumbled by answering that question.'' How do you think he's different from President Biden?

Landrieu replied: “First of all, whatever the difference, [are] There is no greater difference between them than there is between her and Donald Trump. She's obviously a woman, she's a woman of color, she's a new generation. And, you know, when President Biden and President Trump were at odds, this country was like, can we really turn the page? And I think Nikki Haley said this…the first to do it is the first to get an advantage in the campaign. I mean, they're trying to make her Joe Biden, but she's not Joe Biden. But she has also been part of the Biden administration before, and part of historic accomplishments from the American Rescue Plan to the bipartisan infrastructure law to the CHIPS Act that revived manufacturing. ”

Landrieu continued. “But she has continued to work really hard to show that she wants to continue the fight to lower the cost of living for Americans, which is why she recently announced plans to help the sandwich generation.” We have parents with many children. There are eight brothers and sisters between us. We have 38 children and a 92-year-old mother, and we all keep things balanced. Everyone does it in America. And if we want to have a pro-growth economy, we need to help people get back on their feet. She was very proactive about it. She has released an 82-page economic plan and is talking about it. Basically, she's going to fight really, really hard, if necessary, to protect the freedoms that Donald Trump is trying to take away from us. And she will become very aggressive and take it out on him. So you can expect her to be her own person. She has proven that throughout her life and will continue to do so when she becomes President of the United States. ”
