She’s ‘New Leader’ for People Who Want Change on Inflation, VPs Are Just ‘There’ and ‘Ready’

On Wednesday's broadcast of CNBC's “Squawk Box,” Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D), who is acting as Harris Walz, said Vice President Kamala Harris, the 2024 Democratic presidential candidate, has made changes on inflation, foreign policy, and more. He claimed that he was a “new leader'' for those who wanted to Instead of the vice president or lieutenant governor running things, he said, “They're there and they're ready. They're one breath away from the governor's office or the president's office.”

New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu (R) said, “The mistake that Democrats made globally was they chose someone. They had an opportunity to drop Biden and choose someone new and fresh.'' But he didn't.” They chose Biden 2.0, right? People who have actually been in the White House cannot be agents of change. Americans just want change. And that's what wins. “You go to the polls and you vote one way or the other. I'm happy with the way America is now, and very few people are. Or I'm happy with the way America is now, and very few people are. We want people who are going to make a difference.”

Polis said, “Look, Kamala Harris is the new leader. Let's talk about the role of the vice president, I have a lieutenant governor. … Many states have lieutenant governors. So, look, they're the show No, they're there, they're ready, they're one step away from the governorship and the presidency. Kamala Harris is the new voice.

Sununu then interjected and asked if Biden was really running the show, to which Polis said he was.
