Shirtless man in Florida, Climont Mann, attacks shoppers with a metal shelf during a fight inside a Publix store.

A fight erupted in a supermarket near Miami on Thursday night, featuring a shirtless man attacking several individuals with a metal shelf.

At about 6 p.m., a violent confrontation started between “two large individuals” close to the Publix entrance located at Southwest 163rd Street and Southwest 95th Street. This altercation escalated from heated words to physical aggression, as noted by police records.

Video footage shared by local news outlets and social media captured moments when two women collided with a greeting card display, causing chaos as shelves toppled to the floor.

The man, identified as Climont Mann, reportedly picked up a sizeable rectangular shelf and struck two women engaged in the brawl on the ground.

Mann was seen moving away briefly before returning to join in the conflict with the women.

It seemed one of his blows landed on a woman’s head.

The 20-year-old was observed smashing the shelves above them a couple of times before jumping into the fray.

A larger crowd was gathered nearby, encircling two other individuals also fighting on the floor, as seen in the footage.

Numerous items, such as greeting cards, snacks, and even a wig, were strewn across the floor during the ruckus.

Shoppers watched in disbelief as some casually passed by, seemingly unfazed by the turmoil around them.

“Oh, you’re going to jail,” one bystander was heard saying.

Employees at Publix took positions at the registers, preparing for police to arrive.

The fight eventually spilled into the parking lot, where law enforcement intervened. Everyone involved received a trespass notice from the store.

Authorities have not disclosed the reason behind the altercation.

Mann was arrested and faces charges, including aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.

Reports indicate that two individuals were hospitalized, and several others received medical attention from firefighters at the scene.

One shopper expressed her feelings, saying, “I thought it was horrible. It was a disgrace,” criticizing security for not stepping in sooner. She added that it was appalling to witness.

Local customers voiced concerns that such incidents could deter shoppers from frequenting their preferred stores.

Mann’s charges include felony counts for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, while the criminal mischief charge was dropped during a court session.

A judge has mandated that he must avoid any contact with the alleged victims, both in person and through digital means.

Currently, he is being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where his bond is set at $5,150.

Mann’s arraignment is on the calendar for December 8.
