Tragic SUV Crash at New Jersey Preschool
Surveillance footage captures a shocking incident where an SUV crashes into a New Jersey preschool. Thankfully, a mother and her two young children narrowly avoided being hit as they were leaving the building.
According to reports, the driver, a 68-year-old woman named Angela F. Arrigo from Manalapan, was allegedly under the influence at the time of the crash. She has since been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and assault with a motor vehicle, along with a DUI citation.
Details of the incident reveal that one of the boys was struck by the SUV and knocked to the ground, resulting in leg injuries and burns from the vehicle’s undercarriage. Thankfully, all involved were released from the hospital after treatment. The mother, Patrice Pisani, mentioned her youngest son’s injuries in a statement to local news.
Patrice described the moment the crash occurred around 3 PM on Friday as she and her sons were exiting the Bloom Academy in Freehold. She expressed her gratitude that the injuries were not more severe, stating, “God must have been with that little boy.”
The community has reacted with shock and relief. Comments from viewers of the video echoed the sentiment that the child was lucky to escape with his life. One said, “He could have easily died,” while another added, “What a miracle” that everyone survived.
Arrigo’s driving history includes multiple violations for reckless driving, speeding, and not securing a child in a car seat. She is expected to appear in District Court on March 4. Meanwhile, Jill Howard, the owner of Bloom Academy, released a statement expressing deep sadness over the incident and reaffirming the school’s commitment to safety.
