Pro-Palestinian protesters were seen storming and taking over New York City’s famed Brooklyn Museum on Friday afternoon, hoisting pro-Gaza flags on the building, according to a video.
Video posted to Twitter showed chaotic scenes at the Brooklyn Museum of Art as hundreds of protesters took part in a rally apparently started by a pro-Palestinian group called “Within Our Lifetime.” The activist group posted a flyer online calling for protesters to “flood” the famous building, saying, “Activists will lift the occupation of the museum until you expose and renounce your involvement in US and Israeli genocide. We all stand with Gaza.” (Related story: Democrats’ favorite fundraising platform is being used by group behind conference with ties to terrorist organizations)

Around 6 p.m., when the museum closed, protesters stormed in front of the museum and tried to open the doors, but security guards quickly locked the main entrance, preventing them from entering.
It’s unclear how they gained entry, but the activists were eventually seen waving flags inside the museum’s main area. Video footage also showed them hopping over barricades, climbing onto the building’s roof, and hoisting a giant flag that read, “Brooklyn Museum: No Silence to Genocide.”

It is unclear how many arrests have been made so far, and activists were still at the museum as of publication.
