Shoeless man jumps on hood of moving car to chase thief

A man attempts to thwart a robbery of a luxury watch after arranging online to meet the suspect in person to sell it.

The anonymous man reportedly made a deal to sell the Rolex online. After being picked up by a man in Massapequa, New York, the suspected thief decided to leave without paying.

According to reports WABC TVIt appeared the victim had already lost his shoes when the suspect began backing up to flee the scene with his watch. The man was reportedly hit by the thieves’ car and stumbled to the ground, losing other items along with his other shoes.

As the driver began to move forward to leave, the victim jumped onto the hood of the car and clung to the windshield wiper area. The video footage cuts off as the driver suddenly takes off, with the man on his hands and knees clutching the bonnet of the car.

The victim suffered multiple cuts but was not seriously injured.

Massapequa is a town of approximately 20,000 people on the western coast of Long Island, New York.
