Shooting at Antioch High School in Tennessee prompts lockdown

Antioch High School in suburban Nashville, Tennessee, was placed on lockdown Wednesday “due to shots fired inside the school building,” officials announced.

“Antioch High School is on lockdown due to a shooting inside the school building,” Metro Nashville Public Schools said in a statement. “The Metropolitan Police Department is on the scene. The shooter is no longer a threat. We will gather students in the auditorium and provide information regarding reunion as soon as possible. This is an active crime scene and investigation. We will work with MNPD to provide further updates as they become available. ”
