Tragic Shooting at Glendale Restaurant
Authorities reported that three individuals lost their lives and five others were injured following a shooting at a restaurant in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred at El Camarongigan Temarisco & Steakhouse around 7:45 PM, according to Moroni Mendes from the Glendale Police Station, who addressed the press at the scene.
“Obviously, there were a lot of people here,” Mendes commented. “Many were attending various events. Anyone with information, as I mentioned earlier, three people have tragically passed away, so please reach out to us.”
The police have not released specific details about the three people who died in the shooting. Mendes noted that five victims suffered injuries from either gunshots or gunfire-related incidents.
The precise circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear, and investigators suggested that multiple shooters might have been involved.
Mendes mentioned that several individuals are being questioned, but as of now, no arrests have been made.
“Quite a few people are in custody, but we’re trying to determine whether they are suspects, victims, witnesses, or leads in the investigation,” he explained. “We have multiple individuals that our officers and detectives are engaging with.”
Witness Lupe Rodriguez shared, “I heard people screaming after the shooting.” He described a harrowing moment when he saw a man on the ground, who appeared to be unresponsive. “There was a figure that seemed to be his father, crying out his name. It was heartbreaking.”
