Shooting at ICE Center in Dallas Results in 2 Detainees Killed, One Injured -- Gunman Deceased

Two Immigrant Detainees Dead Following Attack on ICE Facilities

Reports indicate that two immigrant detainees have died after an attack on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities early Wednesday morning, with one being in critical condition in Dallas. It appears the shooter has also died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Law enforcement received reports of a sniper near the ICE office on North Stemmons Freeway around 7 a.m. Sources reveal that the shooter was discovered deceased on the roof of a nearby immigration lawyer’s office.

The Dallas Police Department has released a statement. They reported that, around 6:40 a.m. on September 24, 2025, they responded to an “Assist Officer” call in the 8100 block of North Stemmons Freeway. Early investigations suggest the suspect fired from an adjacent building towards a government facility. Two individuals were hospitalized due to gunshot wounds, and one victim died on the scene. The shooter is confirmed dead.

Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem commented, stating, “Details are still unfolding, but we can confirm multiple injuries and fatalities. The shooter died from a self-inflicted wound, and while the motivation remains unclear, we are aware that our ICE law enforcement agencies are facing unprecedented violence. This must be addressed. Let us keep the victims and their families in our prayers.”

She reiterated that the shooter died from a self-inflicted injury.

Noem added, “We still don’t know the motivation, but the violence against our ICE officers is alarming.”

Vice President JD Vance shared Noem’s message and emphasized, “Attacks on law enforcement, especially against ICE, need to end. My thoughts are with everyone impacted by this tragedy.”

ICE Director Todd Lyons clarified that the officers themselves were not shot. The fatalities and injuries involved detainees, visitors to the facility, or possibly even an employee. “We are still trying to piece together the details,” Lyons said.

Breitbart Texas has reached out to ICE for further information, but no responses were available at the moment.

Additionally, it has been reported that a man was arrested in August after he approached an ICE facility in Dallas claiming to be a “detonator.” According to agents, 36-year-old Bratton-Dean Wilkinson allegedly had a bomb in his backpack and now faces charges for threatening terrorism.

This situation is still developing, and more information will be shared as it becomes available.
