Shooting Suspect at Israeli Embassy Shouts “Free Palestine” Following Attack

Washington Shooting at Israeli Embassy

A shocking incident unfolded when a suspect shouted “Free and Free Palestine” while being led away by police after allegedly killing two staff members at the Israeli Embassy in Washington.

The shooter, identified as 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez from Chicago, carried out the act outside the capital’s Jewish Museum. The victims were named as Sarah Lynn Milgrim and Jaron Lisinski, both employees of the embassy.

Upon his arrest, Rodriguez reportedly chanted the phrase again after discarding his weapon.

Washington Police Chief Pamela Smith mentioned that witnesses observed Rodriguez pacing outside the museum before he approached a group of four individuals and opened fire.

Following the shooting, he entered the museum and was taken into custody by security personnel.

This event took place not far from the FBI’s Washington Field office in Northwest DC. Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem stated that a thorough investigation is underway, with federal and local authorities collaborating to uncover all details.

President Donald Trump promptly condemned the violence, asserting that the incident was clearly driven by anti-Semitism and expressing that such heinous acts must end immediately. He emphasized that hate and radicalism have no place in the country.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio echoed these sentiments, labeling the attack as a vile act of both coronavirus and anti-Semitic violence, promising that those responsible will be held accountable.
