Biden’s Presidency: Controversial End with Fauci Pardon

Joe Biden’s presidency has been marked by significant actions related to decades of contentious gain-of-function experiments. Near its conclusion, he granted a full pardon to former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci, retroactive to January 1, 2014. This period coincides with the Obama administration’s decision to halt funding for gain-of-function research that enhances the lethality or transmission of pathogens.

Interestingly, shortly after Biden assumed office amidst the coronavirus pandemic, the FBI sought special treatment for Peter Daszak, a British zoologist linked to U.S. funding directed toward the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Documents reveal that the National Targeting Center (NTC), a division of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, alerted various Department of Homeland Security groups about Daszak’s intended trip from Qatar to New York on February 5, 2021. This notice was shared by Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.). The NTC was aware of Daszak’s previous trips to China and his collaborations with coronavirus researchers at the Wuhan lab. His activities primarily involved U.S. grants for gain-of-function studies, including research on individuals believed to have contracted SARS-CoV-2.

The NTC suggested that Daszak should undergo testing, but apparently he was exempted from strict questioning upon arrival due to intervention from the Biden administration’s FBI. One communication reportedly asked to ignore the inspection requests concerning Daszak.

In remarks shared by Senator Paul, it was noted that no testing was conducted, raising concerns about transparency and accountability in handling such significant individuals and their work.

Following inquiries during 2024 Congressional Hearings, Daszak denied having any formal or informal relationships with intelligence agencies or acting as an informant for them.
