Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said on Tuesday that CNN's “sources” must scare all Americans because President Donald Trump “didn't respect our constitution.”
Sanders said, “Look, you know, those who wrote the constitution in the 1790s when no one became a fool, what they want to do is to separate power between executives, legislation, and judiciary. He tried to infringe constitutional responsibility and parliamentary spending, and now he's chasing the courts.”
He said, “If someone is a corrupt judge, that person can be bounced each, but not because you expressed your opinion. So, this is why these people have the terminology of life. They are immune from these types of attacks and can be objective in their judgment.”
Sanders said, “We live in a society of the rule of law. The Supreme Court has power, and judges have their power. Whether you are conservative or progressive, you should scare that there is a president who doesn't respect our constitution and wants more power. It's very dangerous.”
