Simone Biles Celebrates Bears’ Thrilling Comeback Win

Simone Biles was overjoyed as she watched the Bears come back from an eight-point deficit in the fourth quarter to secure a 25-24 victory over the Commanders on Monday night.

The Olympic champion, married to Chicago safety Jonathan Owens, captured her excitement in a video she shared on her Instagram Story. The clip shows her reaction as Bears kicker Jake Moody successfully made a 38-yard field goal right as time expired, clinching the unexpected win.

In the video, Biles and Tremaine Edmunds’ fiancée are seen jumping with joy and hugging friends in a suite at Northwest Stadium.

Biles also reposted footage of Moody’s kick along with the final score, adding a bear emoji and a pointing finger to nod to the team’s anthem, “Bear Down.”

With three minutes remaining in the game, the Bears seized control after Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels fumbled the ball during a critical third-and-one play while leading 24-22.

The Bears’ offense then marched down the field, gaining 36 yards over nine plays, with running back D’Andre Swift making a significant contribution by rushing five times for 34 yards, setting up the decisive field goal.

Swift had an impressive night overall, rushing for 108 yards on 14 carries and catching two passes for 67 yards, which included a crucial 55-yard touchdown reception that brought the Bears within two points.

Moody, who was released by the 49ers after Week 1, emerged as the game hero. He successfully converted four out of five field goal attempts in his first game for Chicago after being called up from the practice squad earlier that day to fill in for the injured Cairo Santos.

Bears head coach Ben Johnson honored Moody and Swift by giving them game balls.

The Bears, now at 3-2, are set to host the Saints (1-5) this coming Sunday at Soldier Field in Chicago.
