A woman reacted strongly after her brother and his girlfriend were killed by a jealous state trooper. Angela Webb expressed her frustration towards New Jersey State Police Sgt. Kevin Borrallo, who is accused of accepting a pizza instead of responding to a 911 call regarding the incident.
In a Facebook post, Angela didn’t hold back, stating she hopes Borrallo, who faced charges but hasn’t been convicted, will eventually face “10 years in prison and thinks about this every day.” Her brother, Tyler Webb, 29, a volunteer firefighter, and his girlfriend, 33-year-old veterinarian Lauren Semanczyk, were found shot dead in their Pittstown neighborhood after neighbors reported hearing gunfire and screams on August 2.
The shooter was identified as Semanczyk’s ex-boyfriend, New Jersey State Police Lt. Ricardo Santos, who subsequently took his own life about 50 miles away.
According to officials, Borrallo was the only officer on duty that night but failed to check the scene or speak to any witnesses. Instead, it appears he went to an ATM and two nearby restaurants. GPS and surveillance data confirmed he was at the pizza shop during the time he claimed to be patrolling the area.
Borrallo, a military veteran, faces charges of official misconduct and falsifying records, with potential penalties of up to 10 years in prison and a $150,000 fine.
His lawyer argued that Borrallo’s actions didn’t contribute to the tragedy. “Nothing Kevin Borrallo did or didn’t do that day had any effect on or could have prevented that tragedy,” his lawyer stated, labeling the prosecutor’s conclusions as “unfortunate.”
Angela Webb didn’t agree. In her emotional tribute, she reflected on her brother. “He was always full of life,” she said. “From everything I’ve heard, he really was everywhere, doing everything all the time.” She described him as her source of laughter and companionship, revealing just how much she misses him.
She further criticized both Santos and the officers involved for neglecting the 911 calls. “I wish I could confront the cowards who did this and those who chose to ignore them while enjoying pizza,” she expressed.
These revelations about Borrallo’s alleged negligence feel like another layer of hurt for both families involved.
