Raya told co-anchor Bill Hemmer that she wanted to help at such a young age because she “loves veterans and they're so kind.”
Rachel Ziegler, mother of two fundraising sisters, said it was an “honor” to be able to contribute to the support of America's veterans through the Honor Flight Network.
“We just love the veterans that are here, and we know that most of the veterans that are currently on Honor Flight are Vietnam veterans and are Korean. We know they had no intention of returning at all. Many of them were spat on. People tried to fight them,” she said.
