Six Protesters Booted from Greene Town Hall!

At least 6 protestors removed from Greene town hall

At least six demonstrators were ejected during Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) City Hall meeting in Cobb County, a suburb of Atlanta.

According to the Acworth Police Department, three individuals have been arrested.

“While attempting to remove individuals from the event, officers faced threats, were physically resisted, and sustained injuries. One of the arrestees presented identification that indicated they were outside the Greene district,” mentioned Acworth police in a statement released Tuesday evening.

“It’s unfortunate that a very small group sought to create temporary chaos in what would have been a completely peaceful gathering,” law enforcement remarked.

Initially, Greene informed the participants that this was “City Hall. This is not a political rally. This is not a protest. If you want to protest, scream, or chant, we wouldn’t allow it to be like the man was abandoned.”

“If you’d like to sit and listen, we welcome everyone— Democrats, Independents, and Republicans. This is a constructive environment. You have much to learn,” the GOP representative stated during the town hall on Tuesday evening.

Oka reached out to Greene’s office for remarks.

During the nearly hour-long town hall where attendees asked questions, Greene defended President Trump’s tariff policies, asserting that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) aimed to eliminate federal waste and corruption and reiterated the need for federal funds to remodel public broadcasters PBS and NPR.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we all stand united, regardless of our political views, with a debt of $36 trillion. $36 trillion is serious business. This should concern all of us as Americans.

“This is an issue we should all unite against, and I believe it holds great importance,” the Georgia representative added.

Greene, a staunch supporter of Trump on Capitol Hill, contended that Americans have not lost their Social Security, and insisted that the president’s tariffs are not taxes on U.S. consumers.

“And I can assure you, the facts are clear: no one has lost their Social Security or Medicare. I checked with these organizations and confirmed that nothing has been lost. This is misinformation, and it shouldn’t spread. We are here to stop scams.

Referring to the administration’s trade policy, Greene noted that tariffs were “not an excessive tax on Americans.”

“The true tax burden on Americans comes from the inflation that the Biden Democrats have inflicted upon the public through their irresponsible spending over the last four years,” a House GOP member stated.

In early March, House Republicans were advised to avoid holding town hall meetings with members in their district. Nevertheless, some proceeded, facing criticism. Democrats are also encountering discontent from their constituents, as attendees argue that liberal lawmakers are insufficiently opposing Trump’s agenda.

Republican lawmakers and Trump have previously indicated that those disrupting GOP events are Democrats and “radical left extremists.” Greene echoed similar thoughts on Tuesday, claiming, “This is orchestrated. Democrats are agitating. They are a violent party.”

Georgia lawmakers also decried the recent attack on the residence of Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D); 38-year-old Cody Allen Ballmer has been accused of setting fire to the Shapiro mansion on Sunday.

“I first want to recognize Governor Shapiro and his family and express my prayers for them,” Greene stated on Tuesday. “It was shocking to witness an arson attack on the governor’s residence. I wholly condemn political violence and denounce all forms of such violence.”

“By saying this, we acknowledge that we have a bigger issue in America,” the Georgia Republican expressed. “We truly need the matters that unite us as Americans, rather than dividing us to the extent of discussing violence against others.”
